The Rules for Scoring!

The objective of the Derby is to run the course as close to the Optimum Time as possible! Placing is determined first with the scores closest the OT without a knockdown or a refusal. Then those still under the OT but with Knockdowns or Refusals are placed after- 4 points for a knock down and 20 for a refusal. Those who go over the OT are assessed penalties of .4 for every second over. They are placed after the other groups. 1-6th or 1-8th are determined from this hierarchy!

*** Helpful Tip*** Number one trick to Derby Crosses- Know your OT and get as close to that time without penalties and win!
